“To put all power in a 13-person majority, it makes no sense. It’s not democratic. I’ve never ended a town meeting where I don’t completely disagree with a decision, but I am 1 out of 240. I bow to the vote of other people and avoid concentration of power. I fear there will be no separation of power between legislative and executive. The problem is people register to vote for national elections and people don’t pay attention to local elections. If someone else has a different frame of mind, I might ask why are they moving in that direction. I would not destroy a friendship because someone voted yes. If someone else has a different frame of mind, I might ask why are they moving in that direction. I would not destroy a friendship because someone voted yes. I get madder when someone doesn’t vote. It’s one of our duties as a citizen. Public enemy number one for both sides is people who didn’t vote.”
