For our July 19 Incubator Meeting we enjoyed a repeat visit from Pat Creaser! This week, she wanted to give everyone more freedom to make what they pleased, so she brought in even more materials. She arrived with wire, elastic, cotton cord, beads, pendants, and more! After opening the meeting with a discussion of our individual challenges, and warm offerings of advice, we dove right into our beading.
Most of the group decided to make pendant necklaces. Each of us chose our favorite pendant from Pat’s collection, and arranged them as we liked on a cotton cord or elastic with beads. Others made key chains and bracelets, or finished the beading they had worked on last week. Everyone agreed, again, that beading is a wonderfully relaxing craft; many participants said they may even pick up jewelry-making as a hobby, as it allowed them to put their troubles aide and focus on something satisfying and low stakes.
A big thank you to Pat for her company and generosity!
