restoring dignity for homeless women. period.
ACC is fundraising to provide sanitary items and undergarments that may not be readily available for women who are homeless or are considered extremely low-income. The average woman spends $120 on menstrual products every year, but many women in our community must go without because they can't afford it. Who we are
Founded in 2009, Amherst Community Connections (ACC) is a 501(c) non-profit organization in Amherst, MA dedicated to helping people find affordable housing and available employment in the area. Through case management, ACC staff help the participants in anyway possible, with the goal of stabilizing their lives. Staff members are trained to help in the application process of many necessary benefits such as SSI/SSDI, food stamps, free cell phone applications, and more! ACC works within the Amherst community to advocate for housing first solutions to homelessness and has recently started Amherst's first Housing First Program. ACC provides a number of FREE events throughout the month, including our Weekly Wednesday Incubator Meetings. Our mission is to empower, advocate for, and assist those in need!
